Prototype Zipper Bag

It’s not perfect, but at least it’s finally done.

I added a zipper to keep stuff in
and a twill strap to keep it off the ground…

And filled with heavy stuff…

I made it with baby yarn (acrylic/nylon), which was a pain and may have been a mistake.
I’m mulling over improvements before I start the next one.

Hi. I have made several market bags using nylon twine. It should be found wherever fishing twine is sold. I’ve used two different types: 21D/36 and /12 and both work well for that type of bag. Your’s looks good, but I don’t think it will weather well… it will probably fray soon. In any case, the colors and the pattern are great!
    All the best!

That’s so nice looking. I’m curious, didn’t the acrylic-nylon yarn stretch while you were working, and do you think it might stretch further with use? I once made a crochet mesh bag which stretched madly beyond my expectations ; ) After that, I’ve used synthetic polyester cord which was hard on the hands but hardy!
